718. Canada Votes For Women.

Canada Post will issue a single self-adhesive 'P' (85c) stamp in a booklet of 10 to commemorate the Centenary of women's suffrage in Canada.
The issue was designed by Tetro and printed in lithography. Rating:- **.

The Bahamas postal administration will issue an appealing set of 4 stamps on 31 March 2016 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Bahamas Marine Mammal Research Organisation with designs which feature beautifully chosen photographs of dolphins.
The set was designed by Bee Design and lithographed by BDT International with perforation 14. It's not too surprising that this excellent issue derives from Pobjoy Stamps/Creative Direction. Note too the excellent pre-issue publicity supplied to collectors unlike the complete absence of such which is usually the case with issues from the territories on whose behalf CASCO provides an agency "service". Rating:- *****.

I now depict the complete set of stamps, the miniature sheet and HK$45 "prestige booklet" cover of the issue by Hong Kong Post which was released on 22 February 2016 and mentioned in Blog 707. The issue was designed by Arde Lam and lithographed by Cartor and perforated 13.5 (miniature sheet perforated 13.5 x 14). Rating:- ***.

The postal service of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus issued a pair of stamps on 25 February 2016 to commemorate the UEFA European Football Championships 2016 which are to be held in France (as evidenced by the appearance of the Eiffel Tower on the 40 kurus value). The issue was designed by GK Sonmezer and lithographed by the State Printing House. Rating:- ***.

Further issues from Turkish Cyprus will be:-

28 April 2016 - Olympic Games, Rio De Janeiro - 3 stamps
12 May 2016 - Europa, "Think Green" - 2 stamps
22 September 2016 - Ethnographic objects - 2 stamps
17 October 2016 - Water supply project - 2 stamps
24 November 2016 - Bees - 3 stamps.
